How to farm potential zkSync airdrops

How to farm potential zkSync airdrops

Are you ready to farm the highly anticipated zkSync airdrop but don’t know where to start? You don’t need to be a crypto expert to potentially qualify for a zkSync airdrop. Follow the guide below to learn how to do it in just a few easy steps!

‘Airdrops’ are a way for a project to distribute its tokens or coins to a large number of wallet addresses, often for free or as a reward. Airdrops usually serve a promotional purpose, with the aim of increasing awareness, user adoption, and the distribution of a new cryptocurrency. To potentially qualify for future airdrops, you can hold a certain token, sign up for a specific service, or support a project. While airdrops create excitement and reward loyalty, be cautious and research the project and team to avoid potential scams.

Learning from the recent Arbitrum airdrop, we can begin to build a strategy and anticipate potential criteria in order to qualify for future airdrops.

Read this easy guide for a chance at qualifying for a future zkSync Airdrop and to gain an advantage on the rest of the farmers! Keep in mind that no zkSync airdrop has been confirmed and that this is pure speculation. This is for informational purposes and not financial advice. Always do your own research.

*Bridging from chain to chain is always a security risk. Please continue at your own discretion, and do your own research before bridging assets from one chain to another. *

*Again, the following guide is not financial advice. Always do your own research. *

First things first - you’ll need a wallet that supports zkSync, like Enkrypt. For help installing and setting up Enkrypt, click here.

1) Bridge over to zkSync

We can see from 0xKylin and his excellent analysis and report that you only need to bridge at least 0.1 ETH to be in the top ≈74% of all users. For help bridging from Ethereum to zkSync, follow this guide.

Currently the most popular zkSync bridge is Orbiter:

Another popular option is the ZigZag Bridge:

After using one of these protocols to bridge funds over to zkSync, you’ve completed the most important step. From here on out there’s no confirmed “best” way to farm the zkSync airdrop, and you could stop here if you want to be conservative with your crypto. This is all speculation, but based on prior airdrops in the industry, completing the following steps will most likely increase your chances of receiving an airdrop!

2) Swap some tokens

To increase your chances of receiving an airdrop, we want to interact with the zkSync mainnet as much as possible.

For step 2 lets do some trades on ZigZag Exchange. For the best chances at an airdrop, make anywhere from 10-15 trades.

For context, ZigZag Exchange is a DEX built on zkRollups - a scaling solution for Ethereum that uses rollups to batch transactions and reduce gas fees in order to make the user experience more similar to that of a centralized exchange (CEX). With a strong focus on user experience, ZigZag Exchange aims to make it easy for users to access the platform, trade assets, and participate in governance.

3) Donate to zkRollups via GitCoin

Donate to projects building with ZK tech via GitCoin.

GitCoin is a decentralized platform on the Ethereum blockchain connecting developers, designers, and contributors with DeFi projects. The platform encourages the growth of open-source projects by funding and incentivizing developers through bounties, hackathons, and grants.

Just head to the ZK Tech section, connect your wallet, and decide which project you want to donate to!

4) Mint an NFT on zkSync

After you've completed some transactions on zkSync, you'll be able to mint NFTs. Go to the zkSync NFT minting page. Connect using Enkrypt, then mint an NFT.

5) Use ZkSync Era Testnet

You can also interact with the zkSync testnet protocols to maximize your chances of receiving an airdrop.

Claim test tokens here. Once there click on “Request Faucet Tokens” to receive your test tokens.

Then just use the following protocols to swap, trade, add liquidity, etc. Note that these are just examples of test-net protocols and that users should always do their own research before depositing funds into a smart-contract.

SpaceFi - a cross-chain web3 platform on Evmos and zkSync. The first to connect Cosmos and L2s.

Mute - Invest, trade, earn yields, and participate in bonds all on one decentralized, community driven platform.

Nexon - Lend and borrow crypto-assets with Nexon. The first decentralized lending protocol on zkSync.

SyncSwap - Powered by zero-knowledge technology, SyncSwap brings more people easy-to-use and low-cost DeFi with complete Ethereum security.

Consider how you farm to avoid being identified as a sybil. This is not financial advice. Always do your own research. We hope you found this post useful. Follow us on socials using the links below!
