Using BiFrost with Enkrypt

A guide to using the BiFrost dApp with our multichain wallet Enkrypt!

Using BiFrost with Enkrypt

Enkrypt is a multichain, non-custodial, and open-source BiFrost wallet built by the team behind MEW (MyEtherWallet). With Enkrypt, users and developers can generate accounts, manage tokens and NFTs, and interact with DApps on Bifrost, as well as EVM chains. Follow the instructions in this guide in order to use Enkrypt with BiFrost!

Head to https://bifrost.app/. You'll be asked to connect a wallet.

After choosing Enkrypt, you'll be on the BiFrost Dashboard.

By hovering over the icons on the left (Polkadot, Ethereum, Filecoin, etc...), you'll be able to see what APY's BiFrost is offering for staking those specific assets on BiFrost.

Let's explore! By clicking on 'vStaking', the following page will appear.

Click on a specific asset to see in-depth details regarding that particular asset including how much you have staked and more.

"Unstake" brings you to the unstaking interface, where you can unstake any currently staked tokens.

"Governance" will allow you to participate in Polkadot governance. Scroll down to see what referenda are currently active.

By clicking on a specific referenda, you can vote “aye” or “nay” using your $DOT.

Moving back to the menu bar on the top of the page - “Validators” will show you a list of BiFrost validators. Click on one to see more details!

You can think of “Scenarios” as side-quests in a game. Or otherwise, plain and simple - things to do!

Check out the current scenarios and participate here. Some popular scenarios are staking your crypto, or swapping!

Next, let’s check out “Farms” on the left. From this page you can participate in yield farming. The LPs are sorted by highest to lowest APR percentage.

Click on “Deposit” to start farming yield!

Lets swap tokens! Clicking on “Swap” will open the swapping interface. Pick which two assets you want to swap and get to it!

“What about cross-chain swaps?”

BiFrost offers cross-chain swapping too! Click on “Cross chain” to begin.

Choose your starting and destination chains, along with what asset you want to bring over. When you’re ready, click “Cross in”.

Clicking on the “From” chain will bring up the window below. Choose your source chain here.

“Wallet” will display a portfolio of your assets.

Click on “Explore more” for even more options!

In “vCrowdloan” you’ll be able to browse and participate in current crowdloans on Polkadot!

By clicking on “Bond”, you’ll be able to check out the current bond market on Polkadot!
