How to Farm the Katana Airdrop with Enkrypt

Katana is an upcoming blockchain with airdrop incentives. Follow the guide to qualify for the upcoming Katana airdrop!

How to Farm the Katana Airdrop with Enkrypt

Katana Network is a DeFi-focused Layer-2 incubated by Polygon Labs and GSR, designed to provide sustainable real yield and unified liquidity. Assets bridged to Katana earn yield through VaultBridge strategies, while sequencer fees and DeFi activity fund Chain-Owned Liquidity for deep trading, lending, and perpetual markets. Its native token, KAT, powers governance, fee sharing, and liquidity incentives.

Katana Network is running a multi-phase airdrop, including a 15% KAT allocation for Polygon (POL) stakers, rewards for early “Krates” depositors, and ongoing incentives for providing liquidity or engaging with the network. These programs aim to reward early adopters while driving liquidity and activity on the platform.

Enkrypt is a multichain, non-custodial, open-source web3 browser wallet developed by the creators of MEW (MyEtherWallet). It allows users and developers to create accounts, manage tokens and NFTs, and engage with DApps on networks like Katana, Ethereum, Solana, Bitcoin, Substrate, and any EVM chains. Follow this guide to learn how to use Enkrypt with Katana!

Adding Katana as a Custom Network

Katana is a network that is not natively supported by Enkrypt but you can add it as a custom network. You can follow the guide on how to add a custom network to Enkrypt or follow the steps below.

To add the Katana network, first head to the Katana Documentation to view the RPC network information.

Then open Enkrypt and click the 3 dot icon at the top of the extension.

In the pop up menu, click ‘Other networks’.

Click the ‘+’ icon at the top right of the Custom network pop up.

Copy and paste the network information from the Katana Network documentation.

You should now have Katana in your network list!

Connecting to Katana Dapp

First, head to the Katana website then click ‘Connect wallet’ at the top right.

Disclaimer: Keep in mind Katana is a third-party DApp and is not affiliated with MEW in any way. Using DeFi involves some inherent risk. Please do your research and proceed at your own discretion.

Select the Enkrypt option.

On the Enkrypt pop up, select the account you want to connect with then click ‘Connect’.

There may be a pop up for the terms and conditions. Review the Terms and Conditions then check ‘I agree’ and click ‘proceed’.

Your wallet is now connected and ready to interact with Katana!

Bridging to Katana Network

Click the ‘bridge’ dropdown button at the top right of the page and select ‘express’ or ‘native bridge’. We will use ‘express’ for this example.

Select the account you want to use.

Select the token you want to bridge then click continue. We will choose ETH from the Ethereum network to bridge.

Enter the amount you want to bridge then click continue.

Review the bridge transaction, once you are ready click ‘Confirm Order’.

On the Enkrypt pop up, confirm the transaction by clicking ‘Send’.

You should see the pop up on the Katana website change stating you have entered the arena! You can close or click ‘start earning’ to supply your tokens to a vault.

You should see the tokens in your Enkrypt wallet on the Katana network once the transaction is confirmed.

Supply Liquidity

On the navigation menu to the left, select the ‘deposit and earn’ option. You should be presented with a selection of vaults you can deposit into.

Select the ‘earn’ button on the vault you want to deposit into. We will select the WETH vault for this example.

Select the token you want to use to deposit into the vault. You are able to select tokens that are not on the Katana network and they will be automatically bridged and deposited into the vault for you.

We will select ETH on the Katana network for this example.

Enter the amount you want to deposit then click ‘Continue’.

Review the transaction then click ‘Confirm Order’ when you’re ready.

Confirm the transaction on the Enkrypt pop up by clicking ‘Send’.

The pop up on the Katana website should state that you are now earning!

To view your holdings on Katana, you can select the ‘holdings’ option on the navigation menu on the left hand side.

If you want to earn a larger allocation of the airdrop, you can stake your POL and explore the ecosystem on Katana. There are also additional campaigns coming soon for more opportunities to earn KAT.
