Bridging to Base from Ethereum

How to bridge to Base. Bridge to Base chain with the help of this useful Base bridging guide!

Bridging to Base from Ethereum

Enkrypt is a multichain, non-custodial, and open-source web3 browser wallet built by the team behind MEW (MyEtherWallet). With Enkrypt, users and developers can generate accounts, manage tokens and NFTs, and interact with DApps on Base, as well as Substrate and EVM chains.

In order to interact with Base DApps, you will need to bridge your assets from Ethereum to Base network. This is a two step process. Follow the guide below to get started!

*Bridging from chain to chain is always a security risk. Please continue at your own discretion, and do your own research before bridging assets from one chain to another. *

‌First things first - make sure you have Enkrypt installed! For help installing and setting up Enkrypt, click here.

To begin the bridging process, head to the Base Bridge.

If Enkrypt doesn't automatically connect, click on "Connect wallet".

Enkrypt will pop-up. Click "Connect",

Make sure you're on the Ethereum network in Enkrypt, and that you have some extra ETH to pay for bridging fees along with the ETH you want to bridge over.

After connecting and making sure you're on the right network (Ethereum), enter in the amount that you'd like to bridge to Base.

Click on "Deposit ETH" when you're ready to bridge.

Enkrypt will pop-up asking for verification. Click on "Send" when you're ready.

Returning to the Base bridge, the following will appear.

Just wait a few minutes and the ETH will show in your Enkrypt wallet!

After the funds arrive on Base, simply click on "Base" in Enkrypt to start operating on Base network. For help finding Base chain, follow this guide.

Welcome to the multichain future!
