Using Velocimeter with Enkrypt
Use the multichain FLOW wallet Enkrypt to connect to and use Velocimeter!
Enkrypt is a multichain, non-custodial, and open-source web3 browser wallet built by the team behind MEW (MyEtherWallet). With Enkrypt, users and developers can generate accounts, manage tokens and NFTs, and interact with DApps on Substrate and EVM chains. Follow the instructions in this guide for help browsing Velocimeter with Enkrypt!
First things first - you’ll need a crypto wallet, like Enkrypt. For help installing and setting up Enkrypt, click here.
Interacting with Velocimeter
Head to Velocimeter. You can easily get there from within Enkrypt via the Canto featured dApps section. You'll arrive at the homepage.
Enkrypt should automatically connect. If not, click on "Connect Wallet" on the top right, then click "MetaMask" and Enkrypt will connect.
Once connected, you're free to use Velocimeter! Shown below are all the fun things you can do. Lets explore our options.
By clicking "Swap", you'll be taken to the Swap page. By default, the two currencies are $Canto and $sCanto. Clicking on the token logo will open a drop-down menu where you can select another token to swap or enter in a custom token address.
Next, click on "Liquidity". You'll be taken to the Liquidity Pools page. Here you can see which Liquidity Pools you can currently participate in.
By clicking on "Add Liquidity", you'll have the option of creating your own liquidity pair with whichever two currencies you choose.
"Create Pair & Stake" will create the pair immediately begin staking it for rewards. "Create Pair and Deposit" will create the pair and automatically deposit it into Velocimeter's liquidity pools for you.
Next, click on "Vest". Here you can lock up your $FLOW and receive $veFLOW in return. Use $veFLOW to earn bribes, trading fees and participate in Velocimeter governance.
The longer you lock up your $FLOW, the higher amount of $veFLOW you'll receive relative.
Next, click on "Vote". You can use your $veFLOW to "vote" for certain liquidity pools each month. You're essentially providing projects their liquidity for rewards that they are offering. These rewards, also known as bribes, change weekly.
Click on "Rewards". Here you can see your accrued rewards for the current week.
Now, click on "Bribe". Create bribes in order to encourage others to vote for your favorite liquidity pools each week! (This is mostly for projects that want to incentivise voting on their own pool, or for whales who really support a project and want to help raise liquidity.)
By clicking on "Create Bribe" you can enter in how much you'd like to provide.
Note that you will not get these assets back!
Clicking on "Docs" will take you to the Velocimeter official documents.
Lastly, you may be wondering what the little "sC" logo is on the top right of the page. That is the logo for scanto, a Velocimeter partner. By clicking on their logo you'll be taken to their website where you can participate in $Canto liquid staking!
