How To Qualify For The Corn Airdrop

Corn Maizenet enables users to participate in DeFi with Bitcoin! Deposit Bitcoin into Corn with Enkrypt and qualify for a future $CORN airdrop!

How To Qualify For The Corn Airdrop

Corn is an EVM blockchain built using the Arbitrum Orbit stack, designed to take advantage of Bitcoin’s value and Ethereum’s computational potential. Using tokenized Bitcoin ($BTCN) as its gas token, Corn Maizenet enables users to participate in DeFi using their Bitcoin!

Enkrypt is a multichain, self-custodial, and open-source web3 browser wallet built by the team behind MEW (MyEtherWallet). With Enkrypt, users and developers can generate accounts, manage tokens and NFTs, and interact with dApps on Corn Maizenet, as well as Solana, Polkadot, Bitcoin and EVM chains. Follow the instructions in this guide in order to connect Enkrypt to Corn Maizenet and start airdrop farming!

Are you ready to farm the highly anticipated $CORN airdrop but don’t know where to start? You don’t need to be a crypto expert to potentially qualify for a $CORN airdrop. Follow the guide below to learn how to do it in just a few easy steps!

‘Airdrops’ are a way for a project to distribute its tokens or coins to a large number of wallet addresses, often for free or as a reward. Airdrops usually serve a promotional purpose, with the aim of increasing awareness, user adoption, and the distribution of a new cryptocurrency. To potentially qualify for future airdrops, you can hold a certain token, sign up for a specific service, or support a project. While airdrops create excitement and reward loyalty, be cautious and research the project and team to avoid potential scams.

*Bridging from chain to chain is always a security risk. Please continue at your own discretion, and do your own research before bridging assets from one chain to another. *

*Again, the following guide is not financial advice. Always do your own research. *

First things first - you’ll need a wallet that supports $CORN, like Enkrypt. For help installing and setting up Enkrypt, click here.

Add Corn Maizenet to Enkrypt

To begin, you’ll need to add Corn Maizenet to Enkrypt. You can copy paste the RPC URL below (https://mainnet.corn-rpc.com) into the Enkrypt Custom RPC URL field and everything else will autofill. For help adding a custom network to Enkrypt, follow the guide here. Alternatively, you can find the Corn Maizenet RPC in their docs.

After entering in the correct RPC URL, Corn will appear in the Enkrypt Network List. Toggle it to green to “turn it on” in Enkrypt. You’ll now be able to operate on Corn Maizenet.

Bridge and Deposit BTC for Kernels

Now that Corn is live in your Enkrypt wallet, head to https://www.usecorn.com. Mouseover “Bridge and Earn” on the bottom left side of the page. Click on “Bridge to Corn”.

You’re in. On the top right of the page, click on “Log In”.

Click on Enkrypt.

You’ll land on the Bridge page. Select which asset ($WBTC, $CBBTC or $USDC) you want to bridge to Corn then enter in the amount you want to bridge. You’ll be receiving $BTCN on Corn Maizenet, the native gas token for the network.

If you don’t have any $WBTC, $CBBTC or $USDC you’ll need to obtain some before bridging. You can find some on Uniswap or any exchange.

Click on “Mint & Bridge” when you’re ready.

The following will pop up. Click on “Bridge wBTC” when you’re ready.

After about a minute, refresh the page and your assets will appear. You’re half way there!

Now, let’s put our assets to work. Click on “Earn” on the top left side of the page.

Here you’ll be able to explore different ways to earn Kernels. The more Corn Kernels you earn, the bigger your $Corn airdrop will be!

In the Apps tab, you’ll find some dApps participating in the $CORN airdrop. The more you use these dApps the more you’ll increase your $CORN airdrop allocation!

For the purpose of putting our $BTCN to work, let's open Curve, the top app on the list.

You’ll end up on Curve. Select which pool you want to participate in. We’re choosing waBTC/wBTC but any one of these will work!

Enter in how much you want to deposit for the farm. The more you deposit, the more Corn Kernels you’ll receive for the $CORN airdrop.

Once you deposit, head back to the Earn page at www.usecorn.com. Clicking on the “Pools” tab will display your new position on Curve along with how many Kernels per hour (KPH) you’re earning.

Want to get even more ahead? Click on the “Quests” tab. Connect your Galxe account to start doing Corn quests in Enkrypt.More quests are added as time goes on, so make sure to check back in a few days time after you complete your quests!

By clicking on the “Referrals” tab, you’ll be able to generate invite codes and share them with friends. The more people you refer, the more Kernels you earn for the $CORN airdrop!

Lastly, you can check if you qualified for any bonus points by clicking on the “Bonus” tab. Bridged to Arbitrum before July of 2024? Congrats, free Kernels for you!

You can see your place on the leaderboard by clicking on “Leaderboard” on the bottom right side of the page.

Below the Leaderboard button you’ll find a link to Corn Maizenet Docs. Here you’ll be able to find a bunch of technical and backend information if you’re into that kinda stuff!
