Bitcoin Testnet is a public testing version of the Bitcoin network designed for developers to experiment without risking real BTC. It operates just like the main Bitcoin blockchain but uses valueless testnet coins, allowing users to test transactions, wallets, smart contract layers, and new protocol features in a safe environment. Enabling the Bitcoin Testnet

Click the 3 dots icon on the top of the Enkrypt wallet.

On the dropdown menu, select ‘Other networks’.

Scroll through the list or search using the search bar for Bitcoin Testnet then enable the toggle and click the Pin icon.

You should now see Bitcoin Testnet at the bottom of your ‘Pinned’ list of networks.

Getting Bitcoin Testnet Tokens

First head to an Unofficial Bitcoin Testnet Faucet website.

Copy your Bitcoin Testnet wallet address from Enkrypt by clicking the copy icon.

Paste your wallet address in the text field then click ‘Get bitcoins!’.

You should see the amount sent and your transaction hash so you can view the progress of your transaction.

Once your transaction is confirmed, you can see your Test Bitcoin in your Enkrypt wallet.

Now you are ready to start experimenting on the Bitcoin Testnet!
