Get your Ethereum assets onto COTI to start using web3 with lower fees
Enkrypt, developed by the MyEtherWallet (MEW) team, is a multichain, non-custodial, open-source web3 browser wallet. It enables users and developers to create accounts, manage tokens and NFTs, and interact with DApps across COTI, Solana, Bitcoin, Substrate, and EVM networks. Layer 2s and scalability networks like COTI are compatible with Ethereum, but you can't just send assets from Ethereum to COTI in a regular transaction. The way to transfer assets between Ethereum and scalability networks is through applications called bridges.
To start using the COTI network instead of Ethereum, you will need to bridge your assets to COTI.
Bridging your Tokens
First, head to the COTI Bridge website then click ‘Connect wallet’.
Symbiosis Finance is a third-party DApp and is not affiliated with MEW in any way. Bridging assets from network to network involves some inherent risk. Please do your research and proceed at your own discretion.
On the Enkrypt pop up, select the account you want to connect with then click ‘Connect’.
Click the ‘Source Network’ dropdown to open the network selection menu.
Select the network you want to bridge from. We will choose Ethereum for this example.
Click the ‘Destination Network’ dropdown to open the network selection menu.
Select the network you want to bridge to. We will choose COTI for this example.
Click the ‘Select token…’ to open the token selection menu. We will select COTI for this example.
Enter the amount you want to bridge then click ‘Bridge Tokens’.
Confirm the transaction on the Enkrypt pop up by clicking ‘Send’.
At the bottom right of your screen, you should see a pop up stating you Bridge is in progress or that it was successful.
The Bridging process will take a few minutes to complete depending on network congestion.
You should also see your tokens in Enkrypt on the COTI network.
