How to Bridge from Ethereum to Hemi

Get your Ethereum assets onto Hemi to start using web3 with lower fees

Enkrypt, developed by the MyEtherWallet (MEW) team, is a multichain, non-custodial, and open-source web3 browser wallet. It enables users and developers to set up accounts, manage tokens and NFTs, and interact with DApps on Hemi, Solana, Bitcoin, Substrate, and EVM chains. Use this guide to bridge your tokens to Hemi with Enkrypt!

Layer 2s and scalability networks like Hemi are compatible with Ethereum, but you can't just send assets from Ethereum to Hemi in a regular transaction. The way to transfer assets between Ethereum and scalability networks is through applications called bridges.

To start using the Hemi network instead of Ethereum, you will need to bridge your assets to Hemi.

Bridging your Tokens to Hemi

First, head over to the Hemi Tunnel portal then click ‘Connect your EVM Wallet’.

Hemi Tunnel is a third-party DApp and is not affiliated with MEW in any way. Bridging assets from network to network involves some inherent risk. Please do your research and proceed at your own discretion.

Select the Enkrypt option.

Select the account you want to connect then click ‘Connect’.

You can select the ‘From’ dropdown menu to open the network selection menu.

Choose the network you want to bridge from. We will choose Ethereum for this example.

Select the ‘Send’ token dropdown to open the token selection menu.

Select the token you want to bridge. We will choose ‘ETH’ for this example.

The ‘To Network’ cannot be selected but you can press the arrows to switch the networks.

Enter the amount you want to bridge then select ‘Deposit’.

Confirm the transaction on the Enkrypt pop up by selecting ‘Send’.

There will be a pop up on the right side of your screen stating your transaction is now being processed.

Once the transaction is completed, the pop up will display that your transfer is completed.

You should be able to see the ETH tokens in your Enkrypt wallet as well.

If you do not see the token, you may need to add it as a custom token. You can follow this guide to add a custom token.
